== History ==
Druskelle was founded by Makavelian and was the third settlement to be created on the server, mere hours after the opening of the survival server. After this, 'Gibraltar', as it was then called served as the capital of the first iteration of the [[Vask Authority|Andurian Federation]], the original base of the [[Vask Authority|Andurian Federation]] still being virtually unchanged to this day.

When Makavelian relocated the capital elsewhere on [[Vask]], ownership of Gibralter was handed over to _Apache who renamed the settlement to 'Hiraeth'. The settlement would go by 'Hiraeth' for only a matter of days as _Apache also opted to relocate elsewhere on [[Vask]].

With the departing of Makavelian and _Apache, ownership of Hiraeth fell to [[_Clone1137]], who, after renaming the settlement to 'Athena', then began numerous projects around the settlement. His first project was building some 'ancient ruins' scattered around the claim to give it more atmosphere made out of polished diorite (a project which he periodically added to thought the rest of his time on Horizons End. [[Clone1137|Clone]] next built two sets of stables in the settlement to show his great love of horses, filling each stable with a horse and giving them each a different name. With the help of _Apache and Paulica, Clone designed and printed several blocks of flats intended to house new recruits of the [[Vask Authority|Andurian Federation]].

Athena saw its first combat relatively quickly during the one of the first wars on the server, coming under attack by the now destroyed nation Vulnere, this marked the [[Vask Authority|Andurian Federations]] first significant military victories with the sinking of a Vulnere [[corvette]] in Athenan airspace, parts of the wreckage of this victory still lie on the beach it crashed on.
