All members of the Ilios Alliance quickly responded by politically recognizing Radiance as the legitimate successor of Shadow and inheritor of its diplomatic relations, leading to the substitution of Radiance for Shadow in the Ilios Alliance's member list. == History ==
Modoror started out on Horizon’s End as a recruit for the [[Separatist Alliance]]. He was a friend of [[TheGamingBananaV]] and other members of the Separatists. He mostly collected small amount of resources and discovered the game during his Separatist period. After some time, spent by meeting other players from the server’s community, he started struggling with the separatist leaders. The Separatist Alliance was saw as a pirate nation and being part of it wasn’t good for her reputation. Modoror also wished to start a mega-project, transforming a saltlake on Aret into an actual lake. But the Separatist leaders showed no enthusiasm in the project. Modoror slowly built bad feelings towards their overlord Separatist Alliance. SHe thinked about an imperial style faction with Byzantine inspiration. He drew the first lines of the [[Halastian Imperium]]. When henriberto was banned due to alleged racism and toxicity, Modoror decided to declare independence from the Separatists.

Orovika was founded by [[GenBukkit]] and [[ItsAlreadyGold]] on [[Star Legacy]] on 5 May 2019, with formal leadership of the nation fluctuating between the two depending on individual activity. Notable players during this time included [[Solesey]] and [[Middosk]].

The [[trade cities]] of Virtuis on Quod Canis and Ortosolis on Harenum were built by GenBukkit and ItsAlreadyGold, respectively. Many of Ortosolis' buildings were later moved to Chimgara to construct a new trade city, but this project was not completed before the announced reset and later shutdown of Star Legacy.

The Lizard dreadnought was the most iconic Orovikan warship, having been built in under a week. The Lizard was the primary ship used in the "Lizard spam" combat doctrine, where massed dreadnought fleets were used to great effect against Orovika's enemies. The Lizard claimed one of the first dreadnought kills, and was the only dreadnought to sink another dreadnought.

==Horizon's End==
===Founding and early days===
Orovika was founded by GenBukkit on Horizon's End on 22 April 2022 at the capital city of [[Auriko]]. Orovikans living on [[Aret]] joined the [[Aret Gang]], a defensive alliance with other colonist nations and settlements on the planet including [[Imperial Nova]] and the [[Amcaran Social Republic]], to fight against local pirate attacks.

The nation's members were frequent targets of [[piracy]] by [[Echelon]], [[Vulnere]], and [[Detreus]] during this time, with some members managing to momentarily escape piracy by paying bribes. Orovika maintained a neutral position in most wars in the early months of the server, including the [[Cheth Wars]].

Longtime members Solesey and ItsAlreadyGold eventually left Orovika to form [[Panacea]]. On 19 September 2022, GenBukkit left Orovika to pursue a life of individual piracy, transferring leadership to [[gregolegomonkey]]. During this time, gregolegomonkey formalized the nation's laws and government structure, and established planetary mining outposts on a number of planets. ItsAlreadyGold would rejoin Orovika later, reclaiming his position as Head Councilor and taking charge of the nation's recruitment efforts and diplomacy.

Piracy against Orovika diminished as Vulnere's members became inactive and Echelon rebranded as [[Vega]] and ceased piracy, leaving Detreus, later reformed as [[Arimfea]], the sole existing piracy threat. Through a combination of protection payments to Arimfea and Vega, and the payment of [[Vortexion]] and [[FellOffBridge]] of Arimfea for various building projects and warship blueprints, Arimfea's piracy against Orovika was greatly diminished. Occasional unprovoked attacks by FellOffBridge and other Arimfeans would still occur, where they would temporarily leave Arimfea to engage in piracy against Orovika and other nations before eventually rejoining.

===Amcar merger===

Around 11 April 2023, member settlements of the [[Amcaran Social Republic]] would merge into Orovika, as the two nations shared similar ideals of neutrality. Amcaran settlements would benefit from Orovikan planetary mining infrastructure and protection agreements with individual pirates and pirate nations.

Amcaran settlements began seceding from Orovika on 25 June 2023, and would go on to form [[New Amcar]] and the [[Democratic Republic of Arionic States]].

GenBukkit would rejoin Orovika during this period, with the nation temporarily joining the [[Aret Treaty Organization]] in April 2023.

===Cortesian and Kovfefe recruitment===
In June 2023, the Kovfefan settlements of [[Haven]] and [[Astolfo]], led by [[Blackular]] and [[_omni]] respectively, would join Orovika.

On 3 July 2023, the [[Cortesian]] settlement of [[Setra Maria]] was recruited by and received substantial economic and material support from ItsAlreadyGold.

On 19 July 2023, Blackular and his settlement Haven were permanently expelled from Orovika due to Blackular's attempt to provoke a war with Orovika's ally, Arimfea.

===War with Shadow===

In early 2023, Orovika would begin making payments to the solo pirate [[Noix444]] in exchange for immunity from attacks, as the strategy was previously regarded as successful in deterring Arimfean piracy. By 16 May 2023, Orovika decided to end the immunity payments after Noix444 substantially increased the payment amount as a result of Orovika's growth from the merger with the Amcaran Social Republic, and the recruitment of a small settlement composed of nearly a dozen new players.

On 22 August 2023, Noix444, as a member of [[Shadow]]'s leadership, attacked [[Oliveburger22]], following an attack on the pirate [[BrooklynSupreme]] by GenBukkit on 20 August 2023. A state of war was declared shortly after, with [[Ae0n]] of Shadow joining the fight.

[[xlink97]] would defect from Orovika to assist Shadow in the war around 27 August 2023. Shadow began employing Arimfean mercenaries, most notably [[FellOffBridge]] and [[AdelieXY]], the same day.

On 29 August 2023, [[scar_litty]] was ambushed while she was mining alone in the [[Trench]], and initial terms of surrender were given:
*Surrender a Shadow destroyer to Orovika
*Return all Orovikan wrecks to Orovika
*Stop attacking Orovikans immediately
*Remove Noix444 from Shadow leadership and any significant decision making positions
Shadow as a nation refused to surrender, but scar_litty's medium asteroid miner was captured intact and would be impounded until the end of the war.

On 31 August 2023, Orovika attempted to hire FellOffBridge as a mercenary. Later in battle the same day, FellOffBridge would demand additional payment to remain on Orovika's side, and would go on to assist Shadow fighters in the sinking of two Orovikan frigates when his demands were not met. Orovika would go on to employ [[MaidPierce]] of [[Vega]] as a mercenary for the remainder of the war.

The largest battle of the war occurred on 3 September 2023, when an Orovikan frigate, three Orovikan gunships, and MaidPierce's mercenary gunship fought two Arimfean mercenary frigates and four Shadow gunships in Aret's orbit. The battle ended in an Orovikan victory after all Shadow gunships were sunk, and AdelieXY's frigate was temporarily immobilized and damaged by a ramming attack by gregolegomonkey's gunship, after which both ships were sunk.

On 7 September 2023, Shadow was presented with terms for surrender, identical to those offered on 29 August 2023. Ae0n rejected the terms on 10 September 2023, demanding weekly immunity payments of 15,000c per Orovikan player so they could avoid being attacked by Shadow. In response, Orovika adopted a doctrine of total war against all members of Shadow; attacks had previously been restricted to primarily Shadow combatants and their employed Arimfean mercenaries.

Until the end of the war, Shadow warships and freighters were aggressively pursued and destroyed, forcing Shadow to begin salvaging wrecks to construct functional gunships. Shadow would surrender conditionally on 29 September 2023, turning over a destroyer to Orovika and removing Noix444 from their nation. Arimfean mercenaries were not bound by the surrender terms, and continued to engage in piracy after the end of the war.

As a result of Noix444's increases in immunity payments before the start of the war, FellOffBridge's mid-combat allegiance switch, and Ae0n's demands for immunity payments, the Orovikan Council would vote to outlaw all collaboration with and payments to pirates on 16 September 2023.

===War with RentDueYesterday===

On 20 September 2023, in the closing days of the war with Shadow, FellOffBridge and other Arimfean mercenaries officially seceded from Arimfea, forming the nation of [[RentDueYesterday]] so they could freely engage in piracy without being restricted by Vortexion and Arimfea's diplomacy. On 29 September 2023, Orovika would form an anti-piracy alliance with [[Imperial Nova]] to defend against piracy by RentDueYesterday.

On 6 October 2023, MaidPierce of Vega attacked and sunk [[KR_Builder]]'s medium freighter, and declared an alliance with RentDueYesterday immediately afterwards, officially beginning the war. The [[Horizon Federation]] was formed between Orovika, Imperial Nova, and Arimfea soon afterwards. The nations of [[Shadow]], [[New Amcar]], and the [[United Federation of Planets]] would join the Horizon Federation during the war, and [[Cortesia Del Mar]] remained in the Horizon Federation after their secession from Orovika on 29 December 2023.

For most of the war, the Horizon Federation would suffer from low [[SvS]] skill, poor coordination, and subpar ship designs, resulting in frequent defeats by RentDueYesterday and Vegan forces. A "lagfleet" doctrine was implemented, where large Horizon Federation fleets would siege stations on weekends that were captured unopposed on weekdays by RentDueYesterday and Vega. Lagfleets were rarely successful in inflicting losses on the enemy, but were effective in preventing an enemy response due to the immense lag caused by having large numbers of ships piloted, causing ships in SvS combat to become unresponsive.

With the stalemate caused by lagfleets and the constant threat of piracy, many members of nations on both sides of the conflict lost interest in the server or became bored, causing a significant drop in player counts. On 7 December 2023, Vega would voluntarily exit the war with a declaration of white peace to all Horizon Federation nations. After Vega's withdrawal, Horizon Federation forces were able to inflict combat losses on RentDueYesterday more frequently, and was able to siege stations held by RentDueYesterday with little opposition. The war would officially end on 8 January 2024 after FellOffBridge joined Vega, leaving RentDueYesterday to declare white peace and reform itself as the [[Andurian Federation]].

After nearly 5 months of war and pirate attacks, Orovika was at peace.

The Horizon Federation was formally dissolved on 5 February 2024.

===War with Vask Authority===

On 23 April 2024, the nations of Orovika, Cortesia Del Mar, and Shadow, later reformed as [[Radiance]], would form the [[Ilios Alliance]] as an economic and defensive partnership.

On 3 May 2024, the Andurian Federation reformed itself as [[Vask Authority]] under the leadership of FellOffBridge, who resumed piracy alongside the rest of the nation. The Ilios Alliance responded by only attacking Vask Authority players who were actively engaging in piracy, to avoid sparking an all-out war with Vask Authority. On 10 June 2024, the nations of Imperial Nova and Arimfea were admitted to the Ilios Alliance, as they had previously been the target of piracy by the Andurian Federation and later, Vask Authority, since the end of a minor war with the Andurian Federation in February 2024. The [[Republic of Carthage]] would later join the war alongside the Ilios Alliance after being attacked by Vask Authority pirates.

On 11 June 2024, the war officially began after a Ilios Alliance response to a pirate attack by [[DearGhost]] of Vask Authority caused DearGhost to flee to Vask Authority's [[Apollyon]] station, leading the rest of Vask Authority to engage Ilios Alliance forces in a fleet battle.

Many battles of the war ended in stalemate, with the Ilios Alliance's usage of numerous [[tackle gunships]] and other small ships being unable to sink Vask Authority's [[battlecruisers]], which were unable to catch up to or hit the small and fast moving Ilios Alliance warships. These tactics culminated in the [[Battle of Asteri]] on 26 June 2024, where Ilios Alliance ships forced the Vask Authority battlecruiser [[ARMAGEDDON]] to unpilot in a Vask Authority owned siege station after it ran out of fuel and was unable to jump away due to being caught in starship gravity wells. The Ilios Alliance attempted to prevent Vask Authority from refueling and repiloting the battlecruiser for 22 hours until the next station siege window, but intervention by Vega 3.5 hours into the blockade resulted in the destruction of the entire Ilios Alliance fleet and the recapture of ARMAGEDDON by Vask Authority.

On 16 July 2024, the battlecruiser ARMAGEDDON was captured by [[_omni]] of Orovika after a PvP fight in space with its pilot, FellOffBridge, and [[z4nityy]], who was piloting a starfighter. This marked the first major victory by the Ilios Alliance during the war.

On 26 July 2024, the Vask Authority battlecruiser CATACLYSM was sunk by a Ilios Alliance fleet, with _omni claiming the kill. The same day, [[Vandrayk]] of Vega offered white peace to the Ilios Alliance on behalf of Vask Authority, threatening Vega's entry into the war if the white peace was not accepted. A ceasefire was agreed to on 29 July 2024 to allow for negotiations, which eventually stalled due to the Ilios Alliance's belief that neither Vega nor Vask Authority were capable of holding up their end of a peace treaty without staff enforcement.

On 5 August 2024, Vandrayk and all members of Vask Authority, except z4nityy, were permanently banned from the server as a result of the [[Vask Authority Leak]], marking an unofficial end to the war. The cease fire was ended by z4nityy, who resumed piracy against much of the server after returning from a temporary ban. Following the end of the war, the nations of Imperial Nova and Arimfea left the Ilios Alliance.

===Long Peace era===
Fatigue from near constant threat of piracy and six months of active war over the past year left many of Orovika's colonist minded players burnt out or inactive, with many newer recruits leaving the server after being attacked. In October 2024, longtime members ItsAlreadyGold and _omni left to join Radiance, with ItsAlreadyGold later joining Cortesia Del Mar.

Orovika continued to engage in occasional anti-piracy actions alongside fellow Ilios Alliance members.

When henricoberti was banned due to racism and toxicity, Modoror decided to declare independence from the Separatists.

The '''Battle of Skull Crusher's Barge''' was a major military engagement between the nations of [[Imperial Nova]] and [[Vega]] in the [[Vega-Nova War (2025)|Vega-Nova War]]. The battle was fought in [[Trench]] over Skull Crusher's [[Barge]], which the Novans planned to ambush and sink.

The Battle of Skull Crusher's Barge resulted in the second [[Battlecruiser]] to be sunk in server history, and is the largest loss in the [[Vega-Nova War (2025)|Vega-Nova War]].

== Context ==
On the evening of 17 March 2025, Skull Crusher, a citizen of [[Vega]], traveled to [[Trench]] with the Vegan [[Barge]] "VS Malibu" alone while the Vega military was offline. The [[Nova]]ns, seeing an undefended barge in Trench, deployed 2 1k [[Gunship]]s to sink the barge uncontested.

Vega received notice from Skull Crusher that the Novans were in Trench shortly before the barge was attacked, prompting the Vegan forces to log on and defend the barge.

== Summary of Events ==
The initial Novan assault force consisted of [[_Longy]] and [[NovaManGood2110]], both in 1k gunships. The barge, unable to escape the [[Starship Gravity Well|gravity wells]] employed by the gunships, simply played evasively until Vegan backup was able to arrive. The initial Vegan relief force consisted of [[Sherbet_S]], [[MaidPierce]], [[GigaJeff]], and [[BlockBuster019]], all also in 1k Gunships. Both Novan 1ks were sunk, and the Vegan forces then moved to escape Trench. After being sunk, the Novans deployed the [[Battlecruiser]] "NIF Repentance", piloted by [[NovaManGood2110]], to Trench, supported by [[_Longy]] in a 1k [[Gunship]] and [[Thrawn31]] in a [[Starfighter]], but were unable to catch the Vegan Barge before it evacuated to safety.

The Vegans, seeing the enemy Battlecruiser, chose to engage, with the hopes of sinking the Battlecruiser. Vegan forces further rallied [[AssassinXX]] and [[Solesey]] to assist in the fight, bringing the Vegan Battlecruiser "APOCALYPSE" and a 12k [[Destroyer]], respectively. The Novan 1k and Starfighter were swiftly sunk by the larger Vegan fleet, which then activated gravity wells to trap the Novan Battlecruiser while the Vegans awaited the arrival of their own Battlecruiser.

_Longy came back to counter the fleet with a Starfighter, but was again sunk. He then returned to [[Orlandia]] to pilot a 12k [[Destroyer]]. The Destroyer jumped into Trench, successfully bypassing [[Sherbet_S]]' attempt to trap it in a gravity well, and joined the fight. The Novan 12k engaged with the Vegan forces, and was able to sink Sherbet_S' Gunship. The 12k and Battlecruiser continued to fight the Vegans until Solesey was able to sink the 12k, sacrificing his own 12k in the process.

Thrawn31 during this time was traveling in a Vesta from [[Ilius]] to [[Aret]] in order to redeploy with _Longy, but by the time both pilots had left Aret to reengage, Sherbet_S had already arrived in another 1k Gunship, and was able to hold both ships down in a gravity well (thus preventing them from reaching [[Trench]]) for the rest of the fight between the Novan Battlecruiser and the remaining Vegans.

The Novan Battlecruiser, now having no support, continued to be fired upon (with the bulk of damage being done by the Vegans' own Battlecruiser), until the Vegans were able to land the finishing blow. Solesey's second 12k, "VS BURGER", took major hull damage, MaidPierce's 1k took minor hull damage, and the remaining fleet including AssassinXX's Battlecruiser remained undamaged.

Vegan forces then escorted their Battlecruiser to safety at [[Station|space station]] Fraternity outside [[Qatra]]. After securing the Battlecruiser, the Vegans were notified that _Longy and Thrawn31 were still pinned by Sherbet_S' gravity well in [[Regulus System|Regulus]]. Forces regrouped and traveled to Regulus, where they were able to sink Thrawn31's 1k, and then _Longy's 12k, with the only casualty being [[Skull Crusher]]'s 1k. _Longy successfully navigated his Destroyer to the Novan space station Threshold outside Aret before sinking, ensuring the Vegan forces were unable to recover the wreck.

Following the end of the [[Horizon Federation-RentDueYesterday War]] in January 2024 - a conflict which saw [[Vega]] in conflict with the majority of the server's players in its first two months - then-Emperor [[Vandrayk]] of [[Vega]] announced the "Vega Neutrality Act", which promised that "for the foreseeable future Vega would like to extend a cease of hostilities and neutrality to all nations". While the declaration was initially met with skepticism on account of Vega's past history of militarism and conflict with other nations, following this declaration Vega would refrain from initiating conflicts with other nations; indeed, Vega's only hostile military actions towards other major nations on the server whatsoever in the following year were the [[Battle of Asteri]] (a one-off occasion) in June 2024, and the [[Vega-Ekatera War]] in January 2025. Emperor [[MaidPierce]] of Vega was quoted on 20 February 2025 as saying, "fighting the entire server just does not sound fun anymore" - a change in posture that would substantially reshape politics on the server.

Hegemony was founded after the divorce of [[Solesey]] and [[LeMaire]] from their settlement [[Panacea]] on [[Rubaciea]]. LeMaire moved to [[Lioda]] to found the settlement [[Aokigahara]], and Solesey moved to [[Qatra]] to found the settlement Hegemony.

Hegemony started from a small storage shack built into the side of a mountain, and grew into a large industrial inspired base.

Hegemony is the home of the first [[Battlecruiser]] factory built in survival. The factory has since produced cores for [[Vega]] and [[Vask Authority]].

= Summary of Events =
At approximately 4:00PM EST, a 6-member [[Nova]]n-[[Separatist Alliance|Separatist]] fleet departed [[Aret]], arriving to siege the [[Vega]]-owned [[Siege Station]] ArtifactGamma at 4:11PM. While a Novan siege against Vega was not unusual, the Novan-Separatist fleet was significantly larger than a typical Novan siege detachment, which drew attention to it. The siege proceeded uncontested (with the station being captured 15 minutes later); however, this left half an hour in ArtifactGamma's siege window in which Vega could attempt to retake the station.

Because the siege was not at the end of the hour, Vega chose to gather its forces and prepare, instead of launching an immediate attack.

The Vega and Oblivion forces gathered at Hegemony, boarding a fleet of 1k Gunships.

z4nityy of VA joined with the Vega/Oblivion forces outside Qatra, and braersss of ULS joined the fight at the siege station.

Despite having the chance to retreat before Vegan-allied forces could attack, the Novan and Separatist pilots elected to remain garrisoned at the nearby Novan station claim. [[_Longy]] would later explain this decision as owing to the fact that the Novans and Separatists "wanted some combat".

Following an unsuccessful attack by [[MaidPierce]]'s [[Interceptor]] "VS Suicide Run", at 4:48PM EST, the Vegan-aligned fleet numbering 12 ships (later 13 with the arrival of [[braersss]]) departed [[Qatra]] and jumped to ArtifactGamma; while a [[Novan]] attempt to isolate BlockBuster019 via a [[Starship Gravity Well]] was briefly successful, the entire fleet ultimately congregated inside of the siege station, at which point [[WitherV]] initiated the re-siege. The '''7 March Vega-Nova Siege''' was a failed siege attempt between [[Imperial Nova]] and [[Separatist Alliance]] versus [[Vega]], [[Vask Authority]], [[Oblivion]], and [[United Luxit States]]. The battle was fought over custody of the ArtifactGamma [[Siege Station]]. The 7 March Vega-Nova Siege is the largest military engagement to occur on [[Horizon's End]] since the [[Battle of Asteri]], and is the second-largest military engagement ever in server history.

= Context =
In the months following the [[30 December Incident]], [[Imperial Nova]] and [[Vega]] existed in a state of politically-ambiguous military hostility, punctuated by occasional minor combat engagements and [[Siege Station]] battles. No formal conflict was declared or pursued by either party in this time, due among other factors to the pronounced inactivity of Imperial Nova in January and February of 2025.

On 25 February 2025, Imperial Nova publicly announced in a post: "[we're] officially un-killing the nation," soliciting recruitment of new members and cooperation with prospective allied groups, and claiming to offer "political influence, ships, materials, infrastructure, combat training, military protection, [and] action". On 6 March, the new, combat-oriented nation of [[Separatist Alliance]] took up the offer, striking a formal alliance with Imperial Nova at 3:06PM EST.

Previously, Separatist Alliance had engaged in hostile military action against members of several nations on the server, including [[Halastian Imperium]], [[United Luxit States]], [[Cortesia Del Mar]], [[Orovika]], and [[Vega]]; however, their alliance with Imperial Nova stipulated that they "act defensively", which was in contrast with their previous behavior. Within the hour of their alliance's formal declaration, a joint Novan-Separatist fleet proactively attacked and sunk known pirate [[z4nityy]]'s [[Starfighter]], and then proceeded to assist [[yodabird19]] and [[Equiila]] of [[Cortesia Del Mar]] in a small engagement against [[Oblivion]] pirate forces.

= Summary of Events =
At approximately 4:00PM EST, a 6-member [[Nova]]n-[[Separatist Alliance|Separatist]] fleet departed [[Aret]], arriving to siege the [[Vega]]-owned [[Siege Station]] ArtifactGamma at 4:11PM. While a Novan siege against Vega was not unusual, the Novan-Separatist fleet was significantly larger than a typical Novan siege detachment, which drew attention to it. The siege proceeded uncontested (with the station being captured 15 minutes later); however, this left half an hour in ArtifactGamma's siege window in which Vega could attempt to retake the station.

Because the siege was not at the end of the hour, Vega chose to gather its forces and prepare, instead of launching an immediate attack.

The Vega and Oblivion forces gathered at Hegemony, boarding a fleet of 1k Gunships.

z4nityy of VA joined with the Vega/Oblivion forces outside Qatra, and braersss of ULS joined the fight at the siege station.

Despite having the chance to retreat before Vegan-allied forces could attack, the Novan and Separatist pilots elected to remain garrisoned at the nearby Novan station claim. [[_Longy]] would later explain this decision as owing to the fact that the Novans and Separatists "wanted some combat".

Following an unsuccessful attack by [[MaidPierce]]'s [[Interceptor]] "VS Suicide Run", at 4:48PM EST, the Vegan-aligned fleet numbering 12 ships (later 13 with the arrival of [[braersss]]) departed [[Qatra]] and jumped to ArtifactGamma; while a [[Novan]] attempt to isolate BlockBuster019 via a [[Starship Gravity Well]] was briefly successful, the entire fleet ultimately congregated inside of the siege station, at which point [[WitherV]] initiated the re-siege. Despite being outnumbered approximately 2 to 1, the Novan-Separatist fleet, maintaining tight formation, went on the offensive, approaching ArtifactGamma from the east. VEGA internal operations are an enigma to most, as their discord access is highly limited for even citizens. VEGA's organisational structure is the ''Operations Division'', beginning with the Director(s) at the top and going down to the Operatives at the bottom. Citizens are not part of this structure, and usually not considered 'true VEGA' by most. Since Vandrayk's departure the role of the Emperor has largely become symbolic, with VEGA functioning more as an oligarchic regime rather than an autocratic one. VEGA's operations division also extends beyond their nation, as many of their operatives are part of others. Whether these are actual agents of VEGA is disputed and likely varies from case to case.

'''VEGA''' '''Security''', more commonly referred to as '''Vega''' or '''VEGA''' and also the '''Vega Empire''', is one of the oldest and most powerful nations on Horizon's End, widely considered the reigning server hegemon since the launch of the server in 2022 (when it was called [[Echelon]]). VEGA was founded on [[Star Legacy]] in 2019 as a weapons corporation consisting of [[Arimfean]] and [[Oblivion]] veteran players. It was well-known for defeating the then-dominant [[Andromedan Republic]] in two subsequent [[Andromedan Republic-Vega War|wars]]. Much of the old VEGA players joined Horizon's End but initially decided not to recreate their nation, opting to form Echelon instead. On the 4th of January this nation was renamed to VEGA.

VEGA prides itself on never having lost any war (though this is heavily disputed) and being home to the largest collection of server veterans (especially combatants), as well as being a close friend group outside of the server. Most of the original VEGA veterans have since disappeared, most notably [[Vandrayk]]. He was the [effective] leader of VEGA up to his permanent banishment from the server. Since the start of the [[Long Peace]] VEGA mostly remains isolationist, usually only intervening when provoked.
