The idea for a massive artificial sea dates back to before Horizon's End was released. _Longy began the project immediately after the server was released.

This was one of the main reasons for [[Imperial Nova]]'s involvement in the [[Ilios Alliance-Vask Authority War]].		The original plan for the project was to construct the sea in the Evia Saltlake in the northeast of Aret, but was moved southward to the Ikaria Saltlake, in order to be closer to [[Orlandia]]. There was also progress on another sea on the west edge of the planet, but this lake was never completed.
